Pricing depends on what you need. A 3D Scan Only starts at $350 + tax with no asset tagging. Our Guided Property Record is $450 + tax — the scan plus your first year of portal access, where you submit receipts and asset details over time for us to organize. White-Glove Pro is also $450 + tax and includes two hours of on-site, done-for-you asset tagging; portal access for that package runs separately at $120/year. Commercial and business properties start at $800 + tax. All residential packages cover homes up to 3,000 sq ft, with $50 per additional 1,000 sq ft. See our full pricing breakdown for package comparisons and add-ons.

When you file a claim, your insurer needs proof of what you owned and what it was worth — without it, adjusters have little to verify, and claims often settle lower or take longer to resolve. Weak or incomplete documentation is a leading reason insurers reduce or dispute a claim. A DHDO scan gives your adjuster an interactive 3D walkthrough with every item tagged: make, model, serial number, and purchase value. No digging through old receipts, no relying on memory after a loss.

The on-site visit takes one to three hours depending on the size of your home and package — you don’t need to follow the team around while they work. Turnaround depends on what you booked: a scan-only record is typically ready in 1 business day, while a fully tagged inventory (Guided Property Record or White-Glove Pro) is delivered through your private portal, plus a physical thumb drive, within 5–7 business days.

What’s included depends on your package — every scan includes a hosted Matterport 3D model of your home with an interactive floor plan you can view directly inside the scan, plus still photos; tagging packages add an embedded home inventory noting make, model, serial number and purchase date, and — where the item can be found online — a link to that exact product or the closest comparable one. If it’s listed online, we’ll find it. DHDO does not appraise items or assign values: the link is there so you or your adjuster can see what the item is and what it currently sells for, and because listings can change or be removed over time it’s a starting point rather than a fixed figure. You also receive a physical hard drive with all of your files on it, plus a short tutorial on how to use those files and upload them yourself. A downloadable As-Built floor plan and other add-ons are available through Matterport’s platform — see our pricing page for the full breakdown. Everything lives behind a single shareable link in your private client portal, so you can hand access to an insurance agent, attorney, or family member without re-scanning or hunting down email attachments.

Your DHDO documentation is stored securely off-site in the cloud — not on your computer, not in your house. The moment disaster strikes, your complete inventory is accessible from any device, anywhere, exactly when you need it for a claim.

We’re based in Lake Charles and serve homeowners, businesses, and communities across Calcasieu Parish, the Lafayette area, and South Louisiana more broadly. Call (337) 415-1951 or book a scan and we’ll confirm coverage for your address.

Yes. A timestamped, room-by-room inventory of a home’s contents gives families, executors, and attorneys one organized reference to work from during probate or a succession. It isn’t a substitute for legal counsel or a formal appraisal, but it supports both. See our Estate Planning FAQ for succession-specific detail.

Tidy each room so the team can capture cleanly. Gather receipts for major purchases — furniture, electronics, appliances, jewelry, tools. Remove any object you don’t want captured in the scan beforehand, or let our team know what to avoid during your intake. We’ll walk you through the full prep checklist after you book.

A scan technician and a tagging technician handle every visit, and every technician is background-checked before they’re ever sent to a client’s home. The person who takes your intake call may not be the same person who scans and tags your property — as we take on more work, those roles are handled by different members of the team — but you’ll always be told who is coming and when before the visit. You can switch on two-factor authentication for your login, and an additional password can be added to an individual scan on request for even more sensitive records. Your record is hosted redundantly across Matterport’s secure cloud and our own, and our systems are independently audited by outside security engineers. Your property information is collected solely to build your documentation package, kept confidential, and never shared with third parties outside the scope of your service. See our Privacy Policy for full details, including how long your data is retained.

You can, and some homeowners do — but most inventory apps and DIY checklists ask you to do all the data entry yourself, which is exactly where most people stall out and never finish. DHDO is fully done-for-you: our team scans the property, tags the assets, and delivers a professional, insurer-ready record you never have to build or maintain yourself.

Yes. Neighborhood and HOA documentation is quoted custom every time, based on the scope of the work, the location, and the number of homes involved — there’s no fixed per-home discount to publish, because no two communities are the same size or layout. Call (337) 415-1951 and we’ll put together a quote and a scheduling plan for your community.

If your package included Annual Record Care, your portal runs in twelve-month terms. Basic includes four months of hosted access instead, extendable month-to-month — see the pricing page for the current figure. If it isn’t renewed, you have a 30-day grace period to extend it before it goes offline; after that, your record is no longer hosted and isn’t accessible through the portal. Your physical thumb drive is yours to keep permanently either way. Full details are in our Privacy Policy.

Yes — we’re rolling out an affiliate program with incentives when a referral leads to a completed scan. Contact us at (337) 415-1951 to ask about current details and how to join.
